I Didn’t Want To Turn on The Oil Furnace

Last year, my hubby and I updated our electric furnace with a gas furnace; My friend and I debated for several weeks on the kind of furnace we were going to install, however we ultimately chose the gas furnace because it was strong and efficient… The Heating as well as Air Conditioning professional’s we spoke to assured us that the gas furnace was the best option for heating our apartment during the brutal winters up north.

My hubby was all for installing a gas furnace over an eclectic furnace, even though I was really hesitant, and i didn’t cherish the idea of gas running in our cabin and the thought of carbon monoxide poisoning was alarming; After a few weeks of research and getting professional opinions, we settled on the gas furnace as long as carbon monoxide detectors were sited around the house.

My friend and I had the gas furnace installed in the Springtime last year, and I haven’t thought much about it since. There was no need to run it during the Springtime and Summer months, however now that the rapidly changing temperatures have dropped, it’s time to run the furnace. My hubby was ready to turn the gas furnace on a week ago, even though I held him off by saying that the cabin wasn’t that cold. Unblessedly, where we live, the rapidly changing temperatures are already dipping past 30 degrees in the days and evenings and we need the heat to keep us warm. I told my hubby how I was scared about turning on the gas furnace and he sympathizes with me. To make me feel better, he hired an Heating as well as Air Conditioning professional to come repair the gas furnace one more time before turning it on. This put me at ease.
